Lucy McIlhinney (Co-Opted Governor)
Chair of Governors, Chair of the Finance & Resources Committee, member of the Teaching & Learning Committee, nominated governor for SEND. I am a qualified solicitor who specialised in Employment Law. Ryan Collin (Parent Governor)
Vice Chair of Governors and Chair of the Teaching & Learning Committee. I have three children two of which attend SPS. I am grateful for the hard work and dedication that SPS and its staff put into creating a wonderful environment for children to learn and grow. I became parent governor in 2017 as I wanted to support the school and contribute in a positive way.
Rebecca Golder (Local Authority Governor)
Member of the Finance & Resources Committee and nominated governor for Safeguarding, Children Looked After and Young Carers. I currently have one child who attends SPS but two older children who previously attended the school. I work as an accountant at another local primary school. I have been a governor for over ten years and I am also involved in other local community projects. SPS is an amazing school and it is an absolute privilege to be part of it.
Deborah Hind (Co-Opted Governor)
Member of the Finance & Resources Committee and Teaching & Learning Committee. I currently have one grandchild left at SPS, but previously five grandchildren have also attended the school. I support the commitment ad wonderful work that the staff are committed to providing on a daily basis to educate and nurture. I work as an Operations Manager at another primary school in Bristol, so I cam aware of what is needed to provide an excellent education for all children.
Matthew Melias (Co-Opted Governor)
Member of the Finance & Resources Committee and nominated governor for Health & Safety. I work in the Aerospace industry and am currently elected to the City Council. I have two children at SPS. I've found the experience of being a school governor rewarding and it's given me an insight into what goes on behind the scenes at our wonderful school.
Becky Macfarlane (Parent Governor)
Member of the Finance & Resources Committee. I worked as a Retail Manager for 15 years and now work as Operations Manager for our family business. I have two children at SPS and wanted to become involved with and support the school and create more links between the parent community and Governing Body.
Matt Turner (Co-Opted Governor)
Member of the Finance & Resources Committee and Teaching & Learning Committee. I am a qualified teacher and am currently studying for a MA in Politics. I also work on a casual basis as a Caseworker for a nearby MP. I attended SPS as a pupil and later came back to teach here so becoming a Governor seems like a natural progression. Our school is a vital part of the community; I am proud to be a part of it and the great work it does.
Michele Daniels (Co-Opted Governor)
Member of the Finance & Resources Committee. I am the Office Manager at SPS and am involved, alongside the School Business Manager, in setting and monitoring the budget.
