Art and Design
Our art curriculum aims to offer new experiences for all pupils, balanced with time for repeated practice so pupils can hone their skills.
Across the school, pupils learn about artists from a wide variety of backgrounds and are exposed to a range of artistic mediums, such as drawing, painting and sculpture. They develop a variety of skills, including (but not limited to), colour, pattern, texture, line, shape, form and space.
Pupils learn to value art, understanding its historical importance as well as how it continues to contribute to the culture, creativity and wealth of our nation.
The Art and Design curriculum handbook detailing the progression of how this subject is taught across our school, can be found here.
