How to help your child at home
READING
As always, every child is expected to read at home 4 times a week and record this in reading records. These will be checked every Friday and noted by the class teacher. Please sign the record when they read or scores will not count! To support this, children will read for 10 minutes during golden time if they do not reach this expectation.
Children are given a school library book to read at home. You can also find free online books here:

TIMES TABLES
As you may know, children in Year 4 complete a 'multiplication times table check' later in the year. It was implemented by the government to help track children's progress. Please see attached a parent information leaflet. Click here.
Therefore, any help at home is greatly appreciated. TT Rockstars is a great platform to use, likewise, many of the following websites can also be helpful:

WRITING AND GRAMMAR
Writing and grammar is also a key part of Year 4. The following website is a good tool to use to help aid this.
