Shirehampton Specialist Resource Base (Canberra class)

At Shirehampton Primary School we are proud to be extending our facilities to offer much-needed places for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The new Specialist Resource Base, which opened in November 2021, is based in the building which was previously our gym in the playground and will provide two new classrooms (view our plans here). You can read our initial letter to parents here.

Proposal to establish two SEND provisions in Bristol
Introduction
Bristol City Council proposes to establish two resource bases (Special Educational Needs and/or Disability (SEND) provisions) in the city. This proposal has been developed in response to the demand for special educational needs provision in Bristol.
