Children may bring a packed lunch and as we are a healthy school it needs to consist of a balanced selection of food groups (carbs, protein, dairy, fruit and veg, fat) for example a sandwich, yoghurt, fruit, 1 packet of crisps and a sweet snack. Children are only allowed water in school and for reasons of safety do not send drinks in glass bottles. Sweets should not be brought to school; but snacks for playtime may be brought, such as fruit or other healthy snacks.
Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 children are given fruit on a daily basis and a drink of milk is provided free for those children not yet 5 years of age.
