Weekly and termly home learning (homework)
Home learning will be written in your child's learning log on a Monday each week. The children will have a weekly skill to focus on at home, such as listening or being kind. We would like the children to be able to recognise their positive behaviours and feel confident to demonstrate these both in school and at home.
We will also send home your child's weekly phonics sound. The children focus on one sound a week to ensure that key skills are embedded before moving on. It is important that your child is able to recognise, say and write each sound so it would support your child to practise this at home. We will also begin to send home the tricky words that we are learning at school. These are words that must be learnt by sight so it is useful to practise these on a regular basis!
